Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Alex Team's Iacob Nistor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Noboa in the 4th minute of play. Cornel Bodiu's late challenge caught a Costa Rica's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornel Bodiu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Alex Team getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Cornel Bodiu hit a great ball. Eugeniusz Kostrzewa hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, Alex Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugeniusz Kostrzewa to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got a free kick in the 20th minute. Adam Abrudan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cornel Bodiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Benito Sanz made a huge save. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gică Boerescu in the 30th minute of play. Iacob Nistor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iacob Nistor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Alex Team's Adam Abrudan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 1-2 after 41 minutes of play. Costa Rica's Axel Tasis got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. The referee ordered Axel Tasis off the ground. Axel Tasis hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Niculae Ştercă. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gică Boerescu made the kick off in the second half. Eugeniusz Kostrzewa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute, Alexander Carballo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Gică Boerescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Bodiu in the 58th minute of the match. When Alex Team's Gică Boerescu in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. After 63 played minutes Alex Team got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Kostrzewa. In the 65th minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marin Cantemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Costa Rica's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Puig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Iacob Nistor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Iacob Nistor in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Aaron Alcocer hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Alex Team were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Costa Rica to leave the ground with a draw.
