Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Geronimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 7 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Geronimo Rulli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 9th minute, one of Internacional:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Internacional. Internacional:s Geronimo Rulli showed great skill when he stopped Luz Tejedor:s penalty. 14 minutes into the match, Julian Murillo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Internacional's Geronimo Rulli. Geronimo Rulli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 20 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Geronimo Rulli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Geronimo Rulli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geronimo Rulli came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geronimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geronimo Rulli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 35 minutes into the match, Internacional's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Geronimo Rulli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geronimo Rulli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 played minutes Internacional got a freekick which was hit by Edward Groth. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Internacional's goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Internacional's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Internacional's Geronimo Rulli did a great save. After a rather tough play, Internacional's Pablo-Enrique Abeijon got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laércio de Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Geronimo Rulli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play.

53 minutes into the match, Internacional's goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Julian Murillo. 57 minutes into the match, Laércio de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Peru were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Internacional's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luz Tejedor took the corner. The corner ended in Luz Tejedor almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Internacional's Geronimo Rulli did a great save. With his leg Geronimo Rulli managed to avoid a goal in the 63rdth minute, when Peru's Luz Tejedor fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 64th minute, Joaquin Prats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Laércio de Andrade left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Internacional fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Internacional's Geronimo Rulli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luz Tejedor in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Internacional getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Pablo-Enrique Abeijon hit a great ball. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Internacional made a substitution. Rafael Abarca replaced Israel Aballe. In the 81st minute, Pablo-Enrique Abeijon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Tenorio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Geronimo Rulli. That made the score 2-4 in the 83 minute of play. Geronimo Rulli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th minute, Peru's Rafael Gallo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-5. In the 94th minute Antonio Tenorio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geronimo Rulli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Internacional.
