When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ian Axelfeldt made a kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 55 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. AB Tårnby's Rune Reevold quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Peer Barlov fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AB Tårnby's protests and gave Peer Barlov a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Venezuela booed when AB Tårnby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peer Barlov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Kenn Fronval didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. The Venezuela players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
