Tristan Nordlet made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Tristan Nordlet came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 37th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tristan Nordlet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Bent Streyder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Berthold Haardeng in the 50th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Efraim Gilabert. 53 minutes into the match, Holmkjar Hotspurs's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Tristan Nordlet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bent Streyder in the 55th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 60 played minutes Holmkjar Hotspurs got a freekick which was hit by Bent Streyder. Eliseo Mina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristan Nordlet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Efraim Gilabert hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Holmkjar Hotspurs made a substitution. Magnus Steinwart replaced Bent Streyder. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Milagros Fraga advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-5 in the 83rd minute. Rafael Gallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tristan Nordlet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play.
