Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daan Leers in the 14th minute of the match. 15 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Pang Bang Xun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pang Bang Xun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pang Bang Xun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to 重庆1997联队 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Qiu Yao Cheng hit a great ball. In the 31st minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pang Bang Xun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despite this Pang Bang Xun quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pang Bang Xun. Pang Bang Xun dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Daan Leers sent off a good shot on target.

In the 52nd minute, Cristian Sancho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pang Bang Xun. The goal made the score 1-3. If Daan Leers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daan Leers in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Pang Bang Xun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 64 minutes into the match, 重庆1997联队's goalkeeper Pang Bang Xun had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Pang Bang Xun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind 重庆1997联队's goalkeeper Pang Bang Xun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pang Bang Xun was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Felix Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pang Bang Xun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 龚适亦 during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 龚适亦 hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Agustín Saelices sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after 重庆1997联队's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 李超森 kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Andino to maneuver through the defense. The 重庆1997联队 fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
