An unexpectedly hard shot by Constancio Brufau in the 4th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Septien made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Hector Septien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hector Septien. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Daniel Zorita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After 12 minutes, Eustaquio Galdeano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eustaquio Galdeano kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hector Septien made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. A collision led to POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ticho Larrangos hit a great ball. Hector Septien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 played minutes POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol got a freekick which was hit by Rioja Franco. The supporters of Ecuador booed when POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Payon didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the match, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Hector Septien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Zorita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hector Septien. The POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hector Septien should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Constancio Brufau was the one to do the kick off. POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Hector Septien proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol from getting a goal against them. 55 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hector Septien narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. In the 62nd minute, Frichoso Matamoros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tiro Alarcon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hector Septien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol's Hector Septien got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Ticho Larrangos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hector Septien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiro Alarcon struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol. In the 89th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hector Septien was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-7. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Hector Septien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador played a much better game than POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol and deserved their victory. The POSEIDON FC DeusDeFutbol players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
