FC NILS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felix Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Rune Vacker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agustín Saelices in the 38th minute of play. In the 39th minute, Daniel Zorita left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rune Vacker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leif Ahlkvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Daniel Vesterberg struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC NILS. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Vacker having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Rune Vacker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montenegro in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rune Vacker, passed just outside the right post. A hard shot 61 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Rune Vacker managed to make a qualified save. FC NILS's players were relieved. Rune Vacker made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. In the 68th minute, Daniel Zorita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Rune Vacker. After a rather tough play, FC NILS's Leif Ahlkvist got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Luis Andino left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-6. Rune Vacker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felix Montenegro in the 79th minute. Rune Vacker didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 82nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Luis Andino blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Vacker having to make a save. 87 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of FC NILS's Rune Vacker. Rune Vacker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rune Vacker having to make a save. Rune Vacker stood somewhat misplaced when Cristian Sancho came free in front of goal and shot 0-9 to the left of him in the 90 minute. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC NILS throughout the match.
