Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Carhue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nery Dominguez didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angel Xacintu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Carhue's Leon Kaxen got a free kick in the 14th minute. Carhue's Angel Xacintu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Xu Wei's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 44thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Carhue's Nery Dominguez got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Brent-Jan Kindermans came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Angel Xacintu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 58 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Justo Egoitz who took care of the corner kick. A collision led to Carhue getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Fidel Bonadona hit a great ball. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angel Xacintu having to interfere. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Carhue's Justo Egoitz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Angel Xacintu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 77th minute. After a rather tough play, Carhue's Anibal Diaz got a free kick in the 81st minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justo Egoitz in the 84th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Carhue's Justo Egoitz. But to his dismay, Justo Egoitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Teodoro Min fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Carhue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anibal Diaz to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Carhue's Charles De Ketelaere got a free kick in the 96th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 97th minute of play forced Carhue's goalkeeper Angel Xacintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Carhue fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
