Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Alfred Pawelczyk took the kick off in the first half of the match. Alfred Pawelczyk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Cura del Futbol's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Eriberto Erlantz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfred Pawelczyk, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eriberto Erlantz saved Cura del Futbol from getting behind. Eriberto Erlantz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Cura del Futbol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilberto Aztore didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Pawelczyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The tension between the Cura del Futbol and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Raul Abadia kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Eriberto Erlantz made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 80th minute. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Eriberto Erlantz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Alfred Pawelczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Cura del Futbol's Alfred Pawelczyk. But to his dismay, Alfred Pawelczyk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2.
