In the 9th match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seyrani İklim to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Mecnun Başer notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Jamaica's Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Demonde Jacobson came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Yağızhan Acıbadem. But to his dismay, Yağızhan Acıbadem quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Samsunspor's Bayhan Kutay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romon Oliver in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finlay Stair in the 22nd minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Bayhan Kutay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute of the match Ceyhun Eriş sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Demonde Jacobson skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mecnun Başer got free with Demonde Jacobson in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Finlay Stair kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Geroy Ascue hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ceyhun Eriş might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Demonde Jacobson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ceyhun Eriş ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Tamer Mengüç kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Demonde Jacobson. That made the score 4-0 in the 39 minute of play. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Recep Tayyip Değirmencioğlu in the 43rd minute of the match. Samsunspor's Mecnun Başer was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 45th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 54th minute Recep Tayyip Değirmencioğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demonde Jacobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demonde Jacobson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mecnun Başer in the 56th minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Mecnun Başer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Jamaica's goal looked a bit too open when Kingsley Schindler came free, but Demonde Jacobson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mehmet Osman Cerit came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Samsunspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mehmet Osman Cerit couldn't finish the play. After some careless play in the Jamaica defense, Tamer Mengüç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demonde Jacobson. The Jamaica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demonde Jacobson should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Jamaica's Romon Oliver got a free kick in the 74th minute. Demonde Jacobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ceyhun Eriş, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 76 played minutes Jamaica got a freekick which was hit by Karlus Waugh. Ceyhun Eriş took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Demonde Jacobson. Jamaica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jamaica's Finlay Stair got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tamer Mengüç took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Demonde Jacobson. Demonde Jacobson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-0.
