Dinu Ivănescu took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodolfo Ricart. Rodolfo Ricart dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After the first half Despidida AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Gonzales to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, TEMPLE F.C.'s Aureliano Ondino got a free kick in the 56th minute. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Kajetan Gdowik replaced Pastor Tino. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Alvaro Raymond replaced Emiliano Velasco. Despidida AFC's Ancho Branca was substituted for Dinu Ivănescu. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Despidida AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of TEMPLE F.C.:s goal. Fernando Selatse had in the 85thth minute some difficulties stopping Elpidio Gonzales's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by TEMPLE F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Oliver Rizzo was slow to take the kick. During this time Despidida AFC's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Raymond in the 93rd minute of play forced TEMPLE F.C.'s goalkeeper Rodolfo Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Feliciano Salomon came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the TEMPLE F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Feliciano Salomon couldn't finish the play. In the 96th minute, Feliciano Salomon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Despidida AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
