In the 2nd minute, Vladimir Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 7 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos Cordeiro. In the 8th minute of the match Romeo Raphael shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giuseppe Lara showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Dalmo Rocha lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated German Ourente. German Ourente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmo Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Ourente showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dalmo Rocha in the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dalmo Rocha came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dalmo Rocha in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg German Ourente saved Rafaela FC from getting behind. Ovidio Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 35th minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Guilherme Mandrak dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's German Ourente got control of the ball when Telmo Barbosa tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Nova Iguaçu MZFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Batista to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dalmo Rocha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dalmo Rocha in the 51st minute of play. German Ourente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telmo Barbosa went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Leonel Tomi kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Dalmo Rocha took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised German Ourente. German Ourente dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The supporters of Rafaela FC booed when Nova Iguaçu MZFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guilherme Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. German Ourente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Telmo Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 75 minutes into the game, Ovidio Txurio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rafaela FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nova Iguaçu MZFC the free kick. In the 77th match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ovidio Txurio to maneuver through the defense. German Ourente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Telmo Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 80th match minute, Rafaela FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Celestino Hever to maneuver through the defense. Guilherme Mandrak, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by César Alagoano in the 89th minute of play forced Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rafaela FC's goalkeeper German Ourente, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. German Dominix kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Guilherme Mandrak broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
