The audience thought a goal was coming when Wilson Vidal got free with Vellito Izarra in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paulo Renato Souza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Vellito Izarra made a huge save. Paulo Renato Souza's late challenge caught a 25 de Noviembre FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paulo Renato Souza helped the player get up and apologised. Luizinho Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Vellito Izarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gartzen Falavarte hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Vellito Izarra was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Dudu Queiroz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Lanzon in the 20th minute of play forced Nova Iguaçu MZFC's goalkeeper Mauro de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Dalmo Rocha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vellito Izarra. Dalmo Rocha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilson Vidal in the 27th minute of play forced 25 de Noviembre FBC's goalkeeper Vellito Izarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the game, one of 25 de Noviembre FBC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 25 de Noviembre FBC's Vellito Izarra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save 25 de Noviembre FBC from getting a goal against them. Dalmo Rochas short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Vellito Izarra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paulo Renato Souza took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vellito Izarra. Vellito Izarra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Teofilo Monterroso kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Paulo Renato Souza took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vellito Izarra. Vellito Izarra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Federigo Pala made the kick off in the second half. If Luizinho Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gartzen Falavarte kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Nova Iguaçu MZFC made a substitution. Cesinha Cruz replaced Vladimir Braga. Gartzen Falavarte kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute of the match Dudu Queiroz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vellito Izarra skillfully saved the ball. In the 65th minute Zé Carlos Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vellito Izarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to 25 de Noviembre FBC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Zeledon Frenes hit a great ball. Dalmo Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vellito Izarra having to interfere. Vellito Izarra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luizinho Neves, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Telmo Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Barbosa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vellito Izarra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luizinho Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vellito Izarra having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Wilson Vidal made a precise shot to the right of Vellito Izarra. 25 de Noviembre FBC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 96 played minutes Nova Iguaçu MZFC got a freekick which was hit by Wilson Vidal. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
