The referee ignored Aerolineas Argentinas FC's protests and gave Gabriel Alcántara a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Nova Iguaçu MZFC booed when Aerolineas Argentinas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Alcántara didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jailson de Carvalho made a kick off. Aerolineas Argentinas FC's Epifanio Bastia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson de Carvalho in the 51st minute of play. In the 94th minute Wilson Vidal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Epifanio Bastia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aerolineas Argentinas FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nova Iguaçu MZFC.
