Xu Wei recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brent-Jan Kindermans went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brent-Jan Kindermans's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Xu Wei scored 2-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Igor Lluc hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Carhue's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angel Xacintu came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Brent-Jan Kindermans ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 30 minutes into the game, Carhue's Brent-Jan Kindermans nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xu Wei in the 36th minute of play. Petre Zărnescu made a great header on Carhue's corner, it was just that Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant managed to reach the ball for a save. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Carhue was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anibal Diaz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Gaos. In the 46th minute, Carhue's Brent-Jan Kindermans ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-0.

Carhue's Angel Xacintu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Carhue from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Joshua Secada hit a great ball. Carhue made a substitution. Justo Egoitz replaced Brent-Jan Kindermans. Joshua Secada hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. After 69 minutes of play, Carhue's Justo Egoitz made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carhue's Justo Egoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 80th minute. After 88 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. In the 90th match minute, Carhue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Ourente to maneuver through the defense. Angel Xacintu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
