Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Intxixu Porregimon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexilhão F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Intxixu Porregimon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cristian Sancho sped through Mexilhão F. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Intxixu Porregimon. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Germano Pernambucano sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anaia Barba got free with Julio Vera in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Anaia Barba tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedrão Mello. After 24 minutes Mexilhão F. C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Ecuador's Juan Sebastián Puig was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Intxixu Porregimon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Mello in the 32nd minute of the match. Abel de Lara hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Pedrão Mello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Intxixu Porregimon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

With a little luck, Mexilhão F. C.'s Intxixu Porregimon got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 53 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Intxixu Porregimon, 0-3. In the 57thth minute of the game Pedrão Mello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 59 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! Mexilhão F. C. were awarded a corner in the 62th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Anaia Barba took the corner. After taking down the ball on Mexilhão F. C.'s corner Anaia Barba fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Mexilhão F. C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anaia Barba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes of play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Intxixu Porregimon was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute Germano Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ecuador played a much better game than Mexilhão F. C. and deserved their victory. The Mexilhão F. C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
