Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Jose Correa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vidar Browald quite easily take care of the ball. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Vidar Browald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elof Apelqvist hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, SWARS's Elof Apelqvist got a free kick in the 71st minute. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vidar Browald having to make a save. After 81 minutes, Camilo Gaos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the SWARS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 81st minute. Alex Chicote charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alex Chicote the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 82nd minute. Penalty! Patricio Costa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vidar Browald having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Patricio Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Patricio Costa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vidar Browald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Venezuela defense, Alfons Emander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. The Venezuela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Ferrant should have stopped the shot.
