Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Apostolis Arvanitoyannis in the 2nd minute of play. Brak Gola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brak Gola was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 17 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Prats. In the 19th minute, Joaquin Prats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. When Konstanty Orszak came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Underdogs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Konstanty Orszak couldn't finish the play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Apostolis Arvanitoyannis was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Underdogs defense, Eliseo Mina kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Brak Gola. The Underdogs fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Brak Gola should have stopped the shot. Underdogs's Andrzej Budzyn was substituted for Ruud van Nistelrooij. Underdogs's Stiff Meister was substituted for Walery Marud. In the 64th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Gayoso to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolis Arvanitoyannis in the 70th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Peru fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Underdogs a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Andrzej Budzyn, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Peru's Rolando Noboa. 1-3. In the 80th minute, Peru's Eliseo Mina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Peru made a substitution. In the 85th minute Kacper Mentus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Underdogs's Andrzej Budzyn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. In the 91st minute, Peru's Antonio Tenorio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brak Gola. Brak Gola yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Apostolis Arvanitoyannis in the 96th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
