With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cosimo Rocchi in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. Chile were awarded a corner in the 44th minute after Musztarda Diżą's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mariano Lacasa took the corner. The corner led Chile's Mariano Lacasa to fire away a dangerous shot which Roch Kempka despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Chile booed when Musztarda Diżą was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ragnar Lönn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Chile failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
