Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rafael van der Vaart started the match with the kick off. In the 8th minute, Santino Seco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Rafael van der Vaart came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Glasston fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael van der Vaart couldn't finish the play. Pedro Manzanares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rafael van der Vaart's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Eddy Watts struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Glasston. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mete Golob in the 18th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares was a little too slow when Rafael van der Vaart got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 19th minute. The score was now 1-1. 24 minutes into the game, Colombia's Kevin Mastache nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlton Convine made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. In the 31stth minute of the game Mete Golob who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Colombia's Pedro Manzanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Glasston's Carlton Convine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pascual Carballar in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute of the match Colombia got a corner. Glasston's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of Colombia booed when Glasston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregg Didlick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mete Golob in the 45th minute of play. Pedro Manzanares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eddy Watts in the 46th minute. After 47 minutes, Axel Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colombia and the Glasston players grew even worse after the yellow card. Glasston made a substitution. Bengt-Rune Rolfsson replaced György Németh. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Axel Montenegro hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abram Sarmiento was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Glasston defense, Abram Sarmiento kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlton Convine. The Glasston fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlton Convine should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Kevin Mastache got a free kick in the 60th minute. Pedro Manzanares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Watts in the 63rd minute of play. Rafael van der Vaart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Pedro Manzanares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colombia made a substitution. Abram Secada replaced Axel Montenegro. Glasston's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
