Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Primitivo Escribano during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. Costică Dindelegan kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Club Vertigo booed when Paraguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Diego Tenorio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Narcis Popoiu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narcis Popoiu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 23rd play minutes Jaime Pardo shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Narcis Popoiu and just under the crossbar into goal. Daniel Chirea made in the 29th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Emanuel Negru however managed to control. Narcis Popoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Covarrubias in the 30th minute of play. When Paraguay's Jaime Pardo in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Vertigo's goalie prevented a goal. When Lucrețiu Donici fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Vertigo's protests and gave Lucrețiu Donici a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Club Vertigo getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Lucrețiu Donici hit a great ball. If Hector Covarrubias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's goal looked a bit too open when Jaime Pardo came free, but Narcis Popoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Popoiu having to interfere. Narcis Popoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Pardo in the 48th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Chirea made a kick off. Narcis Popoiu made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Jaime Pardo sent off a good shot on target. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Narcis Popoiu made a huge save. After having played for 58 minutes, Hector Covarrubias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hector Covarrubias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Pardo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Narcis Popoiu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jaime Pardo got free with Narcis Popoiu in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Narcis Popoiu made a huge save. In the 68th match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucrețiu Donici to maneuver through the defense. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Narcis Popoiu having to interfere. Hector Covarrubias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime Pardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Narcis Popoiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lucrețiu Donici was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 77th minute, Lucrețiu Donici hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Primitivo Escribano in the 78th minute really tested Narcis Popoiu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A sloppy throw-in by Juan Diego Tenorio in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Club Vertigo's Damian Tirulescu. After having played for 81 minutes, Damian Tirulescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Vertigo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Tirulescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Primitivo Escribano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Jaime Pardo sped through Club Vertigo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Narcis Popoiu. Damian Tirulescu kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Paraguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
