The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Emanuel Enoiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Enoiu was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Colombia defense, Róbert Benkó kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Manzanares. The Colombia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Manzanares should have stopped the shot. Pedro Manzanares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Róbert Benkó in the 38th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, Joshua Garrido threw the ball into play from the sideline. Armada's Cristian Anastasiu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Róbert Benkó might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pedro Manzanares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Róbert Benkó ran back to his position shaking his head. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Armada's Vali Caramarin got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Pedro Manzanares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Róbert Benkó, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 47 minutes into the game, Kevin Mastache was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Armada the free kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Abram Sarmiento to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Róbert Benkó had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Róbert Benkó was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 61st minute Róbert Benkó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Manzanares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Róbert Benkó in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Manzanares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Colombia's Ignacio Mastache was substituted for Abram Sarmiento. Armada's Filomeno Igon was substituted for Róbert Benkó. In the 74th minute, Filomeno Igon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Manzanares was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. Filomeno Igon scored 5-2 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Armada's Ionică Hrandabur seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ionică Hrandabur the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Armada protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ionică Hrandabur had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Colombia booed when Armada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionică Hrandabur didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Armada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Anastasiu to maneuver through the defense. Abram Secadas short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Emanuel Enoiu to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Armada booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santino Seco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Colombia's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
