Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 17 minutes, Joel Gaona made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. In the 22nd minute, Didi Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Sandoval in the 27th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dagoberto Sandoval, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baal Grunberg in the 36th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Lacasa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Gaona, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baal Grunberg made a kick off. If Dagoberto Sandoval had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 50th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clube do Remo MZ's Dagoberto Sandoval got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 59th minute Dagoberto Sandoval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube do Remo MZ's Wachirapong Wattanachinda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Clube do Remo MZ from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wachirapong Wattanachinda. Clube do Remo MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baal Grunberg in the 71st minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baal Grunberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Wachirapong Wattanachinda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Facundo Cadaval could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a huge save. Luca Zorita struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Wachirapong Wattanachinda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Lautaro Mancebo hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 89th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 91 played minutes Clube do Remo MZ got a freekick which was hit by Kang Cheng Ao. Mexico played a much better game than Clube do Remo MZ and deserved their victory. The Clube do Remo MZ players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
