In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pacios ClaudioFutbolKlub's goalkeeper Feliberto Ipar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Andres Ursino in the 46 minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
