Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube do Remo MZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. In the 31st minute, Xavier Figueroa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baal Grunberg got free with Thiago Pliego in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th match minute, Chile was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gerardo Pozo to maneuver through the defense. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes Didi Mello shot a great shot from long distance. It looked like a certain goal, but the audience witnessed a really smashing save by Thiago Pliego when he caught the ball only just under the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Orlando Casaus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baal Grunberg in the 40th minute of play. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Casaus in the 44th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baal Grunberg got free with Thiago Pliego in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 47 minutes into the match, Clube do Remo MZ's Tiaguinho Mandrak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Thiago Pliego narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Chile booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiaguinho Mandrak didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute Guillermo Fontirroig suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Kang Cheng Ao's late challenge caught a Chile's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kang Cheng Ao helped the player get up and apologised. Chile's Julio Aguayo was substituted for Guillermo Fontirroig. A collision led to Clube do Remo MZ getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kang Cheng Ao hit a great ball. In the 60th minute Chile were awarded a corner. Mariano Lacasa went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Clube do Remo MZ's goalie and right to Orlando Casaus. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Clube do Remo MZ's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 62nd minute Dagoberto Sandoval shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thiago Pliego saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dagoberto Sandoval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Thiago Pliego tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wachirapong Wattanachinda having to make a save. Wachirapong Wattanachinda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 67th minute of the match. Mariano Lacasa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Chile's Mariano Lacasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wachirapong Wattanachinda. Wachirapong Wattanachinda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Kang Cheng Ao kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After 77 minutes of play Clube do Remo MZ's Kang Cheng Ao was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 80th minute of the match. Orlando Casaus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Mariano Lacasa took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Wachirapong Wattanachinda to make any attempt to save it. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiaguinho Mandrak, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Thiago Pliego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiaguinho Mandrak went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Baal Grunberg hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 92nd minute Orlando Casaus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wachirapong Wattanachinda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chile's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
