Cauan Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 4th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ALMA GUERREIRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lasse Delvig didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delfim Araújo got free with Julio Vera in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cauan Carvalho having to interfere. 16 minutes into the game, Lasse Delvig lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Julio Vera. ALMA GUERREIRA's Cauan Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind ALMA GUERREIRA's goalkeeper Cauan Carvalho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Ecuador booed when ALMA GUERREIRA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilson da Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cauan Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cauan Carvalho was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by ALMA GUERREIRA's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Cauan Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 41st minute, Felix Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Montes to maneuver through the defense. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lasse Delvig to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Delfim Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ALMA GUERREIRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delfim Araújo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lasse Delvig, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Cauan Carvalho came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. José San Martín sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antonio Arias hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lasse Delvig in the 68th minute of play. Julio Vera came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by ALMA GUERREIRA's José San Martín. But to his dismay, José San Martín quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. In the 72nd match minute, ALMA GUERREIRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frits Frang to maneuver through the defense. Lenni Prehn hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Cauan Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lasse Delvig in the 83rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute of the match ALMA GUERREIRA got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilson da Rocha ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Wilson da Rocha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ecuador's Julio Vera did a great save. In the 92nd minute, Lasse Delvig made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montes got a free kick in the 96th minute. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but ALMA GUERREIRA were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
