After some careless play in the Duracell Dribblers defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcus Engström. The Duracell Dribblers fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcus Engström should have stopped the shot. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Krister Helander in the 6th minute. Marcus Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 7th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Lautaro Mancebo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcus Engström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jan Gabrielsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 22nd minute, Joel Gaona got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Krister Helander got free with Dante Lacasa in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marcus Engström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to Duracell Dribblers getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Krister Helander hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the game, Mexico's Joel Gaona nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcus Engström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. 37 minutes into the match, Jan Gabrielsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-4. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krister Helander, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 minutes Mexico's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jan Gabrielsson who took care of the corner kick. Duracell Dribblers's Alfred Lindsten was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dante Lacasa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marcus Engström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Lindsten got free with Dante Lacasa in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Duracell Dribblers players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mexico were winning 1-5.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Billy Svensson in the 55th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Engström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krister Helander, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Duracell Dribblers's Per-Åke Löfgren was substituted for Krister Helander. The supporters of Duracell Dribblers booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Cazalla didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Duracell Dribblers's Marcus Engström got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Marcus Engström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Luca Zorita hit a great ball. Billy Svensson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mexico walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
