Peru's Eliseo Mina quite brazenly broke a throw-in by King Kobra, made in the 6th minute of the game. Through an outstanding action, after 9 minutes, Rolando Noboa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. King Junior showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 10th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amauri Lopes in the 16th minute of play. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aristides Paiva in the 23rd minute. Ionică Lucescu did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Rolando Noboa 24 minutes into the match. Rolando Noboa made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Aristides Paiva sent off a good shot on target. King Junior made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 28th minute of play. Eliseo Mina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but King Junior read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 30th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but King Junior saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Eliseo Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot. Peru's supporters rose to their feet, but Eliseo Mina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. King Junior breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's Rolando Noboa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Peru from getting a goal against them. Ionică Lucescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Aristides Paiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Lucescu in the 51st minute of play. King Junior was a little too slow when Julian Murillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-1. Milagros Fraga kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 61stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Kobra TEAM's keeper King Junior was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 63 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Lucescu came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ionică Lucescu in the 69th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Peru players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Kobra TEAM from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
