Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudio Pacella kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Luz Tejedor missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 17 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Marco Silvestri right hand side. Marco Silvestri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Silvestri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Cosimo Laudadio's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Rolando Noboa firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 29th minute of the match SPALLETTE RETURNS got a corner. Peru's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Augusto Bevilacqua ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on SPALLETTE RETURNS's corner Augusto Bevilacqua fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rolando Noboa quite easily take care of the ball. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Laudadio in the 37th minute of the match. Marco Silvestri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luz Tejedor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marco Silvestri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julian Murillo was the one to do the kick off. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by SPALLETTE RETURNS's Cosimo Laudadio. But to his dismay, Cosimo Laudadio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Eliseo Mina was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 56th minute of the match, Eliseo Mina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marco Silvestri saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Peru's Eliseo Mina in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SPALLETTE RETURNS's goalie prevented a goal. When Peru's Julian Murillo, in the 62nd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Peru. SPALLETTE RETURNS made a substitution. Amedeo Palmieri replaced Adriano Biagetti. SPALLETTE RETURNS made a substitution. Fortunato Santone replaced Armando Izzo. After some careless play in the Peru defense, Cosimo Laudadio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolando Noboa. The Peru fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolando Noboa should have stopped the shot. SPALLETTE RETURNS made a substitution. Antonio Nero replaced Achille Tullio. Cosimo Laudadio succeeded in the game's 80th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 5-2. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Gallo got free with Marco Silvestri in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Cosimo Laudadio managed to get in a good position for a shot. SPALLETTE RETURNS's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosimo Laudadio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Noboa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peru's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
