Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mariusz Zdeb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rutger Jelm charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Mariusz Zdeb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luis Andino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mariusz Zdeb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Sebastián Puig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agustín Saelices hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timmy Friberger made a kick off. Mariusz Zdeb showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustín Saelices in the 56th minute of the match. A hard shot 64 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Mariusz Zdeb managed to make a qualified save. Björkö BK's players were relieved. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Agustín Saelices fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mariusz Zdeb quite easily take care of the ball. In the 80th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Björkö BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Timmy Friberger put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Björkö BK had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
