Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ozan Heybetli in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Hannes Kempenaerts got a free kick in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Julian Murillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sixten Tunander was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sixten Tunander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes FC Hammarby Sjöstad's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Joaquin Prats almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Sixten Tunander did a great save. In the 38th minute, Joaquin Prats made a precise shot to the right of Sixten Tunander. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goalkeeper Sixten Tunander, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciriaco Terciero during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Peru booed when FC Hammarby Sjöstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciriaco Terciero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sixten Tunander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. When Leon Ferfecki fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Hammarby Sjöstad's protests and gave Leon Ferfecki a yellow card for diving instead. Leon Ferfecki kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ozan Heybetli to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Ozan Heybetli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 65 minutes into the match, FC Hammarby Sjöstad's goalkeeper Sixten Tunander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Mina. FC Hammarby Sjöstad's Ozan Heybetli got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the last second Sixten Tunander throw himself and got hold of the ball when Julian Murillo in the 79thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sixten Tunander saved FC Hammarby Sjöstad from getting behind. After 85 minutes Peru's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ozan Heybetli who took care of the corner kick. In the 88th minute Ozan Heybetli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ozan Heybetli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 92nd play minutes Ozan Heybetli shot 3-3, a short shot which went by Rolando Noboa and just under the crossbar into goal. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing FC Hammarby Sjöstad to leave the ground with a draw.
