Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 10th minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 11 played minutes SC Braga got a freekick which was hit by Amado Parente. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Julian Murillo in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Adán prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by André Jordão in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antonio Adán was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Antonio Adán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Milagros Fraga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peru's Julian Murillo got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julian Murillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antonio Adán having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zigmantas Gimbutas to make the kick off. Julian Murillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Antonio Adán came out and tried to block the shot, but Julian Murillo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 56th minute. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stig-Åke Mattsson in the 62nd minute of play. With a little luck, SC Braga's Antonio Adán got control of the ball when Luz Tejedor tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 69 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Braga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Alonso Berganza got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Antonio Adán quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Antonio Adán was a little too slow when Alonso Berganza got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 69th minute. The score was now 1-2. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonio Adán read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antonio Adán. The goal made the score 1-3. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru made a substitution. Antonio Tenorio replaced Luz Tejedor. 81 minutes into the game, Amado Parente threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Eliseo Alcocer made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SC Braga's Valdomiro Lira.
