The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 24thth minute of the game Cassius Byrne who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Adrian Bobeanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marco Day was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Marco Day showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tirso Isasaga in the 53rd minute of the match. Tanek Ostrowski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cassius Byrne in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Olympique Gdynia's Noam Chomsky got a free kick in the 60th minute. 66 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Şota Arveladze came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Noam Chomsky recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tirso Isasaga charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tirso Isasaga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Olympique Gdynia getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Tirso Isasaga hit a great ball.
