Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronnie Hellström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 5th minute, Hjalmar Hägert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 6th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronnie Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Chen Ao Fan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 20th match minute, Skövde AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Norström to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ronnie Hellström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronnie Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 24th minute of play. After 25 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Zorita. 28 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ronnie Hellström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kevin Keegan got free with Julio Vera in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Georg Norström kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Chen Ao Fan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevin Keegan struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Skövde AIK. Camilo Gisbert kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Chen Ao Fan made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Krister Uggstedt thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Ronnie Hellström, a very annoying self made goal in the 53rd minute which led to 0-2. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Keegan in the 58th minute of play. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Ronnie Hellström made a huge save. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Skövde AIK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ronnie Hellström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Jerry Williams kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Juan Sebastián Puig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronnie Hellström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Hjalmar Hägert hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronnie Hellström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 81st minute. In the 84th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ronnie Hellström. Ronnie Hellström yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kevin Keegan in the 87th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Skövde AIK.
