The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Koby Wright in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zoilo Coira saved ReyPoxo from getting behind. Zoilo Coira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Koby Wright, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 29 minutes, Tales Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ReyPoxo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tales Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 35thth minute of the game Tales Lucas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Canada's Jax Williamson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 36 played minutes ReyPoxo got a freekick which was hit by Urdin Alabern. Carter George fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zoilo Coira having to interfere. Carter George might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zoilo Coira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carter George ran back to his position shaking his head. Zoilo Coira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carter George in the 40th minute of play. After 41 played minutes ReyPoxo got a freekick which was hit by Tales Lucas. A collision led to ReyPoxo getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ervín Mlčák hit a great ball. The supporters of ReyPoxo booed when Canada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter George didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zoilo Coira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rohan Watson in the 48th minute of play. 49 minutes had been played when some careless play by ReyPoxo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Koby Wright was slow to take the kick. During this time Canada's players had a chance to rest. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

With a little luck, ReyPoxo's Zoilo Coira got control of the ball when Rohan Watson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tales Lucas hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match.
