Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Aquiles Erlantz took the kick off in the first half of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 3rd minute of play forced FC Pogipool Olsztyn's goalkeeper Teofil Trela to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Pogipool Olsztyn's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Daniel Zorita almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Pogipool Olsztyn's Teofil Trela did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristian Sancho in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teofil Trela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera had great luck who in the 13thth minute grab hold of the ball when Aquiles Erlantz from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. After taking down the ball on FC Pogipool Olsztyn's corner Zula Erland fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Jerónimo Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Jerónimo Souto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Teofil Trela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Jerónimo Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 36th minute, Lucjan Cerocki had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Luis Andino got a free kick in the 38th minute. Aquiles Erlantz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Pogipool Olsztyn's goalkeeper Teofil Trela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Camilo Gisbert hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Zorita to strike the kick off in the second half. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aquiles Erlantz in the 52nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Teofil Trela firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 58 minutes, Juan Sebastián Puig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ecuador and the FC Pogipool Olsztyn players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Pogipool Olsztyn booed when Ecuador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Sebastián Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zula Erland in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrado Javiar in the 62nd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Teofil Trela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 67th minute after FC Pogipool Olsztyn's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Agustín Saelices advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-1 in the 67th minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 74th minute Aquiles Erlantz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teofil Trela came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Cristian Sancho. But to his dismay, Cristian Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 83rd minute, which Teofil Trela however easily saved by the left post. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Teofil Trela made a huge save. In the 94th minute, Daniel Zorita made a precise shot to the right of Teofil Trela. FC Pogipool Olsztyn's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3.
