Benedykt Lichucki's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benedykt Lichucki helped the player get up and apologised. Venezuela's Guillermo Espina was substituted for Guillermo Mariano. After 8 played minutes KS Olimpia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Benedykt Lichucki. The supporters of KS Olimpia Warszawa booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Espina didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ali Wieczorek had several of the Venezuela's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 17 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Jonathan Ferrant as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 21st minute, Tomas Illescas made a precise shot to the right of Tytus Frenzel. KS Olimpia Warszawa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Ali Wieczorek came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ali Wieczorek in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Tytus Frenzel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 34th minute of play. 37 minutes in the game Kryspin Mitus did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ali Wieczorek. 39 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Patricio Costa came free, but Tytus Frenzel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ali Wieczorek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Tytus Frenzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Illescas was the one to do the kick off. When Guillermo Espina fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Espina a yellow card for diving instead. After 52 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Espina. After a rather tough play, KS Olimpia Warszawa's Kryspin Drzewucki got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 57th match minute, KS Olimpia Warszawa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piotr Wilk to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute KS Olimpia Warszawa were awarded a corner. Benedykt Lichucki went to the cornerflag to take it. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Benedykt Lichucki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a little luck, KS Olimpia Warszawa's Tytus Frenzel got control of the ball when Tomas Illescas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tytus Frenzel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wladyslaw Wallach kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, KS Olimpia Warszawa's goalkeeper Tytus Frenzel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Patricio Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tytus Frenzel having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Tytus Frenzel in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 93 minutes in the game Kryspin Drzewucki did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ali Wieczorek. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Venezuela players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
