Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Mexico's Joel Gaona started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match, Bartosz Erland tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Dante Lacasa saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 6 minutes into the game, Poli Timisoara's Bartosz Erland nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dante Lacasa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 9 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Mauro Primeiro came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 15th minute of play. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ovidiu Adrian in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ovidiu Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 21st minute of the match. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Poli Timisoara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Joel Gaona got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ovidiu Adrian quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Joel Gaona managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Gaona was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ovidiu Adrian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Adrian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Primeiro in the 28th minute of play. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Primeiro in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mexico's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Horst-Peter Unterberger was slow to take the kick. During this time Poli Timisoara's players had a chance to rest. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Primeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartosz Erland kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Ovidiu Adrian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 42nd minute of play. Mexico were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Poli Timisoara's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joel Gaona took the corner. Ovidiu Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 46th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Ovidiu Adrian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Poli Timisoara's Bartosz Erland got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th minute Joel Gaona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Adrian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Poli Timisoara defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ovidiu Adrian. The Poli Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ovidiu Adrian should have stopped the shot. Ovidiu Adrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Zorita in the 71st minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Poli Timisoara's zone, Lautaro Mancebo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidiu Adrian came out of the goal and Lautaro Mancebo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sascha Kulovitz to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Poli Timisoara's Ovidiu Adrian got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Mauro Primeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
