Sergiu Coșeriu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. In the 4th minute, Sergiu Coșeriu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Venezuela's defense didn't have a chance, in the 6th minute, when Sergiu Coșeriu scored to the left of an out of position Jonathan Ferrant, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patricio Costa in the 10th minute of play forced Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Illescas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gigel Tilea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 17 minutes into the game, Sergiu Coșeriu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sergiu Coșerius short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Academia Rio's Nicolae Hizo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jonathan Ferrant in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 30th minute, Rigoberto Mina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicolae Hizo got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute Dumitru Pantelimon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute of the match Academia Rio got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nicolae Hizo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jonathan Ferrant didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Academia Rio. After 63 minutes of play, Academia Rio's Sergiu Coșeriu made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolae Hizo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergiu Coșeriu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Coșeriu, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 80thth minute of the game Sergiu Coșeriu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olimpiu Dichiseanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Sergiu Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 95 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Rigoberto Mina.
