After 23 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. Basem Salem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herminio Vitin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. When Jose Correa fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Jose Correa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herminio Vitin in the 54th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rigoberto Mina to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herminio Vitin's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Kornasiewicz in the 61st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herminio Vitin in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. 64 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when io.dasola's Herminio Vitin fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. io.dasola's Szczepan Ciechocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 67th minute of play. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Gianpaolo Basso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 69th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Szczepan Ciechocki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 73rd minute of play. After 77 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robert Kornasiewicz in the 80th minute of play. Szczepan Ciechocki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Sylwester Kolano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sylwester Kolano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. io.dasola fully deserved thier win.
