Leonardo Jerrold lost his temper 13 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Casimiro Astrada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elvio Gorka to make the kick off. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Elvio Gorka recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edmundo Espiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Casimiro Astrada when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Zeledon Sanduru's late challenge caught a Honduras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zeledon Sanduru helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Diego Eterno's Zeledon Sanduru got a free kick in the 71st minute. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Casimiro Astrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casimiro Astrada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmundo Espiga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Casimiro Astrada made a huge save. Zeledon Sanduru hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Casimiro Astrada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmundo Espiga's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Simon Bastia made in the 82nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Valentín Carvallo. In the 83rd minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Honduras booed when Diego Eterno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Gorka didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Christian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Enol made in the 96th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Christian Sancho. Honduras played a much better game than Diego Eterno and deserved their victory. The Diego Eterno players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
