With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Emanuel Hârșu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Leeton United FC's Gaitan Melic got a free kick in the 16th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Hârșu in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dante Lacasa saved Mexico from getting behind. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Zheng Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made an important save on a dangerous shot by 胡森平 in the 21st minute. Joel Gaona blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zheng Zhen having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Mexico's zone, Emanuel Hârșu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Lacasa came out of the goal and Emanuel Hârșu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the match, Alberto Tafalla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zheng Zhen. Leeton United FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberto Tafalla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 44th minute, Felix Luque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leeton United FC's Gaitan Melic shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Dante Lacasa but with some difficulty. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Hârșu in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zheng Zhen having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Leeton United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Zheng Zhen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Hârșu in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Lorenzo Cazalla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zheng Zhen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 75th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 76th minute of play forced Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Zheng Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Leeton United FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Emanuel Hârșu hit a great ball. After 82 played minutes Leeton United FC got a freekick which was hit by 胡森平. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, Leeton United FC's goalkeeper Zheng Zhen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. After having played for 97 minutes, Gaitan Melic managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leeton United FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gaitan Melic was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mexico's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
