In the 18th minute, Cristian Sancho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Ecuador defense, Sam-Lucas Mertens kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julio Vera. The Ecuador fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julio Vera should have stopped the shot. Stijn De Schepper kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Otoniel Mondragon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Otoniel Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Kaysersheim's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Otoniel Mondragon quite easily take care of the ball.

In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kaysersheim's goalkeeper Otoniel Mondragon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Otoniel Mondragon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 96th minute of the match. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
