A collision led to Team Rocco getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Joar Bergfeldt hit a great ball. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Team Rocco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Eliasson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniel Zorita, 12 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vincent Olofsson in the 17th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play forced Team Rocco's goalkeeper Sven-Edvin Mårtensson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute of the match Team Rocco got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ralf Vase ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Team Rocco's Ralf Vase to fire away a dangerous shot which Julio Vera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 26 minutes, Göran Unesson made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 29th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Alfred Samuelsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Team Rocco and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Göran Unesson took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Göran Unesson got free with Julio Vera in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Nordlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Zorita to make the kick off. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Edvin Mårtensson having to interfere. With a little luck, Team Rocco's Sven-Edvin Mårtensson got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 53rd minute of the match. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Olofsson in the 55th minute of play. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great ball. Team Rocco's Göran Unesson got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Göran Unesson in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Andino in the 61st minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristian Sancho got free with Sven-Edvin Mårtensson in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Allan Malmström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 69th minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 71st minute, Sebastian Nordlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Julio Vera was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 74 minutes into the game, Cristian Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Sven-Edvin Mårtensson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Team Rocco's Sven-Edvin Mårtensson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Team Rocco from getting a goal against them. In the 79th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Agustín Saelices managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Team Rocco's Sven-Edvin Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Edvin Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Daniel Zorita got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Team Rocco's Sven-Edvin Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Olofsson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Team Rocco were victorious despite being under pressure from Ecuador for much of the match.
