Cristian Sancho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walmir Dias having to make a save. Walmir Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Walmir Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 26th minute of play. In the 27th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Juan Sebastián Puig got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Walmir Dias quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Agustín Saelices kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Róbson Sergipano kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walmir Dias breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Walmir Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Luís Fabiano Varela got a free kick in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Walmir Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Daniel Zorita could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Walmir Dias however easily saved by the left post. With an all-out effort, Ecuador's Walmir Dias threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Andino, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 69th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. Walmir Dias was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Agustín Saelices showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 70 minute of play. A hard shot 73 in the game by Felix Montenegro from a close distance when the talented Walmir Dias managed to make a qualified save. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s players were relieved. In the 74th minute, Nildo Cruz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Zorita to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Walmir Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ®'s Walmir Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® from getting a goal against them. Walmir Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 87th minute of play. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Walmir Dias having to make a save. The Ȼōŗỉȵᵺỉƛȵʂ Wƛŗŗỉōŗʂ® fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
