Kauan Santos was slow to take the kick. During this time Fala Sério FC's players had a chance to rest. Fala Sério FC's Kauan Santos was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Valadares came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match, André Azevedo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Julio Vera saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 41st minute, Silas Valadares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Martins's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Reynaldo Martins helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fala Sério FC! In the 49th minute there was a penalty for Ecuador. Daniel Zorita stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Afonsinho Marques. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when André Azevedo made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Afonsinho Marques in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Sebastián Puig hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 72 played minutes Fala Sério FC got a freekick which was hit by Reynaldo Martins. Fala Sério FC made a substitution. Wanderson Lopez replaced Kauan Santos. Fala Sério FC's Raimundo Pernambucano was substituted for Pedro Moraes. In the 74th minute, Reynaldo Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When André Azevedo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Fala Sério FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Azevedo couldn't finish the play. Afonsinho Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Fala Sério FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Silas Valadares hit a great ball. Wanderson Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Camilo Gisbert got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Azevedo in the 89th minute of play. Jairo Souto hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. If Wanderson Lopez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silas Valadares kicked well hit freekick during the 98th minute of the match. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
