Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Medero Nadal started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Curcio Morales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 7 minutes, Medero Nadal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VALPICA C.F.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Medero Nadal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Asier Canal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bizen Vuelta fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VALPICA C.F.'s protests and gave Bizen Vuelta a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to VALPICA C.F. getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Bizen Vuelta hit a great ball. If Asier Canal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Asier Canal got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 23rd minute, Eliseo Noboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Asier Canal sent off a good shot on target. Medero Nadal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 31st playminute. Benito Sanz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Medero Nadal in the 38th minute. A hard shot 41 in the game by Medero Nadal from a close distance when the talented Benito Sanz managed to make a qualified save. Costa Rica's players were relieved. Medero Nadal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Benito Sanz firmly grabbed it by the left post. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Axel Tasis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abel Carballo hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tavio Rienda went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Medero Nadal went, in the 62nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asier Canal in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Medero Nadal in the 80th minute of the match. Axel Tasis might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigo Ramos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Tasis ran back to his position shaking his head. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alan Moruga. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Medero Nadal in the 89th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Medero Nadal came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tavio Rienda took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Puig got free with Rodrigo Ramos in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. There was no doubt that VALPICA C.F. were the better team. VALPICA C.F.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
