In the 2nd minute, Kamil Babacan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 7 minutes into the match, Kamil Babacan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kamil Babacan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Svante Åberg's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Svante Åberg helped the player get up and apologised. Svante Åberg hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Miromir Kociniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 14th minute of the match. Miromir Kociniewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Zorita went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Miromir Kociniewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 19th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, G . S A R A Y's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Miromir Kociniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zorita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Miromir Kociniewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 minutes of play, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Miromir Kociniewski was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 42nd minute, Svante Åberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, G . S A R A Y was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bertil Wassenius to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Koray Suer in the 53rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 64 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miromir Kociniewski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Primitivo Andino hit a great ball. Miromir Kociniewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miromir Kociniewski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. 82 minutes into the match, G . S A R A Y's Kamil Babacan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 86 minutes into the game, Sebati Cebeci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. G . S A R A Y's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 86th minute, one of G . S A R A Y:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for G . S A R A Y. Koray Suer kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Ecuador's Luis Andino got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kamil Babacan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
