KV Schoonwater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pino Van Hinnendaels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Ingelbert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Ingelbert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bernt Tielemans during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when KV Schoonwater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joachim Wiggers went to the cornerflag to take it. 61 minutes into the match, Refael De Boeck notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 65 played minutes KV Schoonwater got a freekick which was hit by Bernt Tielemans. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sem Roekeloos in the 67th minute of the match. In the 67th minute Sem Roekeloos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 68 minutes into the game, Abel Van Den Wijngaert cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. KV Schoonwater walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
