Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Paraguay's Jaime Pardo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ole Per Köppen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 7th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xavier Zoido to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Hector Covarrubias got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Nores came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by KFC Hansa's Joost Schlüter. But to his dismay, Joost Schlüter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 19th minute Joost Schlüter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Nores saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ole Per Köppen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Pardo's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Jaime Pardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole Per Köppen having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Hansa's zone, Primitivo Escribano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ole Per Köppen came out of the goal and Primitivo Escribano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. KFC Hansa's Ole Per Köppen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pardo in the 26th minute of play. When Paraguay's Jaime Pardo in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Hansa's goalie prevented a goal. Ole Per Köppen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaime Pardo in the 29th minute of play. Hector Covarrubias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole Per Köppen having to interfere. Ole Per Köppen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Primitivo Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Ole Per Köppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raul Venegas during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Raul Venegas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. If Jaime Pardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After having played for 56 minutes, Jaime Pardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 69th minute, Paraguay's Primitivo Escribano dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Jaime Pardo in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ole Per Köppen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 79 played minutes KFC Hansa got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Jakobe. José Vítor Pinheiro hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Paraguay's Jaime Pardo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 88th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for KFC Hansa. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ole Per Köppen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Paraguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
